Program Duration
- Program Weeks: 7 Weeks
- Hybrid online content with weekly online classes and weekly lab sessions for 7 weeks.
Description
Our 7-week hybrid phlebotomy program involves training for direct patient care and lab work.
A phlebotomist typically performs finger sticks, heel sticks, point of care testing, and venipuncture. Phlebotomists work closely with laboratory personnel to manage, process, and transport collected specimens. They work in various healthcare settings, such as clinics, hospitals, and labs.
Our phlebotomy program provides training on infection control, proper blood draw technique, specimen handling, and universal precautions. This program includes an optional externship, classroom theory, and hands-on blood draw.
Upon completion of the course, students can register for the NHA certification exam. We encourage our phlebotomy students to take the EKG course as well. CNA, Phlebotomy, and EKG classes prepare the student to become a Patient Care Technician.
